Academic qualifications

Pass in the final examination of the 10+2 system with the five subjects or its equivalent with         

(i) 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (P.C.B.) for Bachelor in Physiotherapy / Occupational therapy courses

(ii) 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics (PCB or PCM) for Bachelor in Prosthetics & Orthotics. For SC/ST/PH Candidates the requirements is 40% in these subjects. English should be one of the five subjects with 100 marks in 10+2 system. Candidate has to abide by the existing rules of Calcutta University with which course is affiliated.

Age

Candidate must have completed age of 17 years as on 31st December. The maximum age to General candidates is 22 years. 

Medical Fitness  

All candidates selected for admission should be medically fit. Physically handicapped candidates, their disability should be less than 40%.

Admit Card / Identity Card

Admit Card and Identity Card should be affixed with identical passport size photographs as that affixed on Application Form.

Hostel Accommodation

The Hostel Accommodation (semi furnished) to out station candidates will be provided at the Institute. The hostel rules in operation or amended time to time  in relation to discipline, mess, payment of electricity, hostel fee & timing etc. have to be abide by the candidate.

Instructions for Filling Up of Application Form

The application form must be filled in English only, using CAPITAL LETTERS, except for signatures.

Photograph

Paste three of your recent passport size photographs at the appropriate places on the Application Form, Admit Card and Identity Card. (The photograph pasted on the application form must be attested on front side by Gazetted Officer / Principal of a recognised College/Institute/School). The Signature and Official stamp should be placed such that these overlap in part with photograph.
