Preventative
Services
Even after years of advances in
modern medicine, "Prevention is still better than cure "!
Naturally the National Institute for the
Orthopedically Handicapped, contributes to the process in
its own ways. The institute has designated immunization days
for babies and infants against communicable childhood diseases like
anterior poliomyelitis, which though eradicated in the west, still
remains a scourge in many developing countries.
Efforts are also being made to
implement programs in group education for adults to cope more
effectively with common musculo-skeletal problems and how to avoid
the situations altogether in the first place.
Key Benefits
- Early prevention.
- Parent education towards total
eradication of certain diseases.
- A healthy future generation to
come.
